Meinl announces the addition of Dave Macintosh, drummer for U.K. superstars Dragonforce, to its family of endorsing artists.

Dave has gained valuable experiences performing and recording with plenty of bands throughout the years, which have enabled him able to cope with the extreme speed and intensity of Dragonforce. Based in London, England, the band has released their latest record, Ultra Beatdown in 2008, which hit the Top 20 charts in the UK, USA, Canada, Australia, Taiwan, Singapore and the Top 10 in Japan.

They have been nominated for a Grammy Award for the Best Metal Performance and can currently be seen on tour in Europe and Asia. In addition to all of these accomplishments, Dave and Dragonforce are featured in the insanely popular video game, Guitar Hero III: Legands of Rock, with their song Through the Fire and Flames, which is known as one of the video franchise's songs to master because of its extreme technical difficulty.

Dave plays Meinl Soundcaster Fusion, Soundcaster Custom, Mb20, Mb10, and Generation X cymbals exclusively. He also uses Meinl Drummer Gloves.
