Proudly announcing the 1959RR Randy Rhoads Signature Head!
This new signature product from Marshall Amplification is dedicated to the memory of Randy Rhoads and has been designed around Randy’s own factory modified white 1959 Superlead amplifier, which he personally left the factory with in January 1980.
The 2 channel 1959RR signature model, 100-watt all-valve head is designed to reflect the tone and appearance of one of possibly the most recognisable 1959 amplifiers ever used in the history of heavy metal. The valves in the unit are stock 1959 components with 3 ECC83 valves in the preamp section and 4 EL34 valves in the power amps section of the unit.
A customisation of the circuit allowing channel two to cascade through channel one of the amplifier creates the distinctive tone achieved in the original unit. The finger jointed cabinet and the amplifier itself are still made in the UK from the highest specification components with an emphasis on a quality, and reliable product. This means that the 1959RR is the most representative amplifier to the original 1959 that Randy played.
Each 1959RR unit will be provided with its own Custom artwork dustcover and certificate of authenticity. Custom handbook with notes from Delores Rhoads, Kelle Rhoads, Max Norman and Nick Bowcott.
There will be a matching 1960A cabinet for this head in white tolex. The 1959RR and cabs should be arriving in Australia early May. Get in early to avoid disappointment!
